xvi+366pp. Fine, full tree calf binding by J.S.H. Bates of Leicester, decorative gilt borders to the board edges, blind inner dentells, 5 raised bands to spine, title and author in separate compartment labels, gilt tooling to remaining compartments, gold veined marbled endpapers, top edge gilt.

A small scuff to lower board, very minor white residue to top board. Worm holes to foot of the top hinge, no further incursion into text. Some border darkening to free-endpapers from dentelles.
