As such, we offer an unconditional guarantee on every item as described. Items in our possession are fully insured against loss, damage and theft. We adhere to the strictest code of conduct and trade standards, as set and enforced by the Southern African Book Dealers' Association which mirror those of similar organisations in the UK and USA. 

About Ray van Wyk

Ray van Wyk has been permanently involved in the retail book trade since 2012.
In that time he has worked in new, academic, secondhand, rare and antiquarian books across South Africa. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy and Literary Theory from the University of South Africa.

Ray was the owner of a prominent secondhand, collectable and rare bookshop, with an outlet in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town from 2017 - 2024. After the sale of the business he was contracted in the trade as a consultant and Senior Specialist from September 2024 - April 2025.

Ray is the current acting chairperson of the Southern African Book Dealers' Association, the primary trade body that supports the secondhand and rare book trade in Southern Africa.
