Pricing, appraisals and valuations are done by referring to historical price data, current market prices and historical market trends. We also draw on the experience of handling an extensive number and variety of items over 13 years in the trade and our access to specialist databases and catalogues. Our senior staff have a documented record of handling important and high value items, and performing evidence based appraisals and valuations. Where there is insufficient pricing data, as in the case with manuscript items, we make carefully reasoned comparative analyses and apply our knowledge of appropriate contextual factors to deliver informed and confident pricing. For large projects we offer tailored valuation and assessment methodologies to suit our clients' needs, in consultation with relevant stakeholders.

We have a rigorous academic approach to research and cataloguing. This approach emphasises the importance of referring to and citing verified and up-to-date bibliographic, academic and primary source material when handling any item.

Our collection management services are guided by client needs, to which we bring our knowledge of market trends, historic and estimated future pricing, storage, display, conservation practices and sales/acquisition channels. We are well positioned to offer competitive acquisitions.
