Single sheet, verso blank. Uncoloured map of Ukraine, showing Crimea, a large area North of the Black Sea and part of Russia in the East. Published as part of Pitt’s English Atlas which he famously abandoned after only 4 of the planned 11 volumes were published, due to severe indebtedness leading to his imprisonment in debtor’s jail.

A very good copy, clean and bright with wide margins. Light browning to the centre fold verso which has two tears, 3cm from the top and 4cm from the bottom, contained to the margins. Japanese tissue reinforcement to centrefold verso.
