Boss, a trained psychoanalytic psychiatrist, was briefly analysed by Freud and was a close friend of Martin Heidegger. The present work is Boss’ attempt to systematise the practice of an existential psychotherapy, continuing the theoretical work of Ludwig Binswanger.
