Signed and inscribed to Tom Ernst by Goldblatt to the half title and dated March 1975. 7 page introductory essay by South African Nobel laureate Nadine Gordimer, followed by Hasselblat award winning photographer Goldblatt’s haunting images of the mines and miners of the Witwatersrand. On the Mines was Goldblatt’s first photobook.
